She participated in many TV serials including Parvarrish (2011–2013), Begusarai as Bindiya Thakur (2015–2016) and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan (2019–2020).

Shweta’s ex husband Raja Chaudhary Bhojpuri actor and producer. The couple has a one daughter, Palak tiwari. The couple got divorced in 2012.
Shweta met Abhinav Kholi on the set Jaane Kya Baat Hui. They started dating each other for 3 year and tied the knot in 13 July 2013. The couple has a son, Reyansh Kohli.
